If treatments are ineffective at controlling sweating, your doctor may suggest oral medications. 

Oral medication can be helpful for people with widespread sweating (palms, soles, armpits, back, face, scalp), offering a full-body sweat treatment.

Treatment usually starts with a low dose once or twice daily, which is gradually increased depending on effectiveness and side effects. Side effects are more likely with oral medications since they affect the whole system. These can include dry mouth, dry eyes and urinary issues.

If topical and oral therapies are ineffective, there are other options to treat hyperhidrosis. can also be used for the treatment of primary hyperhidrosis of the palms, soles and armpits. Over the course of a few days, sweat production from the treated glands stops.
